Rita & Rose News | News and Status Updates for Rita and Rose Seidl | |
Over the next few weeks and months Carol and I will be posting news and
status items about Rita and Rose (and Frankie too!) to this news
channel. We'll make an effort to keep it relatively current, but as you
can imagine, we may be a little busier that usual for a while. :-)

| | What a great birthday present! | I've been quite negligent about keeping this channel updated, but I could not not resist posting these "See No Evil" pictures. Our daytime helper, Theresa, snapped these photos and presented them, framed, to Carol for her birthday. Click Image to Enlarge

| | Business trips get a litte easier once the kids can use the phone. | I recently spent three days in Boston for a series of business meetings and to attend the first ever Weblog Business Strategies conferene. The hardest part of business travel is leaving the kids when they don't understand why you're going or when (or if) you're coming back. I remember going through that with Frankie before he could understand that I was, indeed, going to come back. Rita and Rose are just at the point where they are aware enough to miss me but not able to understand anything about whether or not I'm coming back. The telephone is a great invention. Once Frankie started to get the hang of it, it made business travel much easier. Now, he's getting the idea of voice mail. Check out the link below to hear a voice mail he left me when I was in Boston (I returned the call immediately and we did get to talk). For the first time, Rita and Rose were visiblly excited to see me when I returned home. They stopped eating (it was the middle of dinner) until I came and said hello to each of them. Then they were all smiles and giggles. I guess it won't be too long before they are using the telephone, too. | | |
