Rita and Rose are Here!

Rita Lynn Seidl was born on November 6th, 2002 at 2:54 pm; Rose Anna Seidl followed five minutes later at 2:59 pm.  This translates to a gestational age of 36 weeks and two days.

Rita has some excess fluid in her abdomen (ascites) and Rose is slightly jaundice.  Earlier today (10 Nov), Rita's ventilator tube (as shown in the photos) was removed and she is breathing unassisted.

Both are recovering in the Holden NICU at University of Michigan Hospital.
