Homecoming (Part 1)

At 5:30 PM today, Rose buckled up her safety belt and headed for home!

Frankie was quite pleased to see his little sister sitting on the kitchen counter and insisted he "go up there, too." (Partly, to be by Rose, but I suspect partly, too, because being up on the counter looked fun.)

	Heading Home—Proud Dad leaving hospital with Rose.
	Finally a Sister!—So this is what Mom and Dad have been talking about.
	Dinner for Four—Kathleen has made us a feast.

We are elated to have Rose home, but we're also patiently waiting for Rita to be able to join her. Until then, Rose will get many chances to spend time with Rita, as we'll frequently bring her back to the NICU to visit—one benefit of living five minutes away.

Rita continues to baffle the experts while slowly improving. They say they may never fully understand what caused her ascites or how she got over it. That'd be fine with us.
